Leagues Cup Soccer Take Tijuana +0.5 (-155) over Austin (9 p.m. EST, Thursday August 6) Tijuana is the much better side, and they have a great chance to win this outright, but we will pay the juice for the extra half goal in the case of a draw. Tijuana has shown they are a real force and a contender in Liga MX this season and they could go far in this tournament as Tijuana is hungry for some hardware and a ticket to the Champions Cup that goes to the top 3 teams in Leagues Cup from both MLS and Liga MX. They have the young phenom Gilberto Mora, who made a splash for Mexico in the World Cup and has teams from Europe clamoring for his services. They have other strong players as well. Through Matchday 3 in the Liga they are in second place and tied with mighty America from Mexico City on points and only behind by one goal on goal differential. We expect them to be competitive all season, and we think they will do great in Leagues Cup. Austin has been one of the worst sides in MLS this season and they are much worse than last season when they were at least competitive. They have given up two goals per match in the domestic league and have a -14 goal differential through 18 matches. Home pitch shouldn’t matter much here, and Austin has a dense Latin population, so some in attendance will definitely be pulling for the Xolos. We expect a strong showing from the road side here.

New Mexico State is getting credit for hanging with Florida State last Saturday, but I see them falling back in this game. FSU has a coach on the hot seat and they are just not that good. NMSU has a high school coach that has not had much success in college and I do not see them winning this game by 30+ points. The last two years facing FCS teams, they beat Bryant by 16 points and SE Missouri State by 7 points. This game should follow along that line.

Eddie George regressed this team last year going from 7-6 to 4-8. They won just one game after October 12 in 2025 and they just struggle to score points. The Texans got in a game last week and had a great year in 2025 making the FCS Playoffs. They can score enough points to win this game against a rebuilding program.

Take #208 Oregon Ducks over Boise State Broncos (3:30p.m., Saturday, September 5 CBS) The line in this games tells you a lot about the talent disparity in 2026 between Boise State and Oregon. This is not a traditional Bronco team and I expect them to struggle in the trenches. This is the sixth straight year Boise State begins their season on the road and they are 0-4 ATS the last 4 years in their opening game. The Ducks did not finish out the season strong and I expect them to want to light up the scoreboard with a new offensive coordinator in this game. This seems like a lot of points, but Oregon usually destroys nonconference opponents in Eugene and this game should be no different.

This is a rebuilding year for CC and thus we will follow the line movement and back the home team. The last time these two teams played, West Virginia won 31-0. This line has jumped from the opening by 4 points and it is with good reason.

Penn State should still have a strong defense and Coach Campbell is a run the ball and play strong defense type of coach. I don’t think he will want to throw the football up and down the field and focus on field position and ball control. Marshall usually a bowl caliber team and not a mid-major pushover like some teams. They have to run clock to have any chance to keep this game under twenty points and that should set up a strong play for the under. Marshall closed out the season going under the posted total in 3 straight games.
